This article offers an overview of using Virtuemart to allow your registered users to purchase ABPro User Credit.
Booking an appointment is not like buying a product.
When the customer initiates a booking, the timeslot is locked until they are finished at PayPal (or Authorize.net) after which the payment gateway contacts ABPro directly to start a series of actions such as setting the booking to confirmed, emailing confirmation messages, etc.
Purchasing ABPro User Credits is (more) like buying a product.
By using the free* plugin and adding a user_class** file to your Virtuemart themes directory, you can support selling User Credits via Virtuemart.
You can create Virtuemart product(s) to realize different ABPro credit amounts and offer discounts. For example you can define a Virtuemart product that will add $100 in ABPro credits but sell it for $75. When the purchase is complete, the credits are automatically added to the user's credit account.

This feature will work with ABPro 1.4.x or 2.0.x.
In the plugin setup you tell it what version of ABPro you are running.
